Backend Developer

Migrate .NET monolith to Java Spring Boot microservices

The role focuses on migrating core functionality from a legacy .NET system to modern event-driven architecture using Java Spring Boot.

This critical position involves deconstructing the legacy code, handling crucial integrations with our platform, and re-implanting it as resilient cloud-native Java services.

You will be instrumental in modernizing the event-handling stack, moving away from central .NET message broker to a distributed system built on Google Cloud Platform.

The ideal candidate is a proactive engineer who thrives understanding complex systems, takes full ownership of work from development to production, and is excited leveraging modern tools.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design & Develop: Architect, build, maintain high-performance, scalable Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Leverage AI-based tools methodologies assist analysis translation refactoring legacy .NET code, improving efficiency accuracy migration.
  • Implement modern event-driven architecture using cloud-native technologies like Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
  • Built deploy services using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including Cloud Functions, Spanner, Firestore.
  • Code Quality & Deployment: Write clean maintainable well-tested code. Own entire development lifecycle, demonstrating confidence taking features production robust CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications Skills:

  • 5+ years backend software development experience, strong emphasis enterprise-level systems.
  • Expert-level proficiency Java Spring Boot framework.
  • Professional experience .NET (C#), demonstrated ability read understand reverse-engineer legacy codebases.
  • Hands-on experience Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Spanner, Firestore.
  • Deep understanding microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, event-driven design patterns.
  • Proven experience working message brokers event streaming platforms (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub).
  • Strong understanding relational NoSQL databases.
