Our client is seeking a Business Development Leader to spearhead growth initiatives for the petrochemicals vertical, with a focus on oil rigs and exploration assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic acquisition opportunities in the oil rigs and exploration sectors.
  • Drive M&A activity end-to-end – target identification, due diligence, financial evaluation, negotiations, and integration.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the global petrochemical and oil exploration sector.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to execute deals smoothly.
  • Monitor and assess market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to identify new growth avenues.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, M&A, or strategy in the petrochemicals/oil & gas sector.
  • Proven track record of deal-making, especially with international assets or companies.
  • Deep understanding of upstream oil & gas operations, especially rig operations.
  • Strong global network in the petrochemical space, especially in coastal countries with active oil rigs.
  • Excellent negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • MBA or relevant technical qualification preferred.
