About the Role

The IIT Bombay seeks an exceptional Program Director to lead the Centre for Capital Markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership:
  1. Develop and execute the Centre's long-term vision and strategy.
  2. Design programs and initiatives aligned with the Centre's mandate in financial markets research and education.
Education and Research Program Management:
  1. Support faculty-led research, student engagement, and visiting scholar initiatives.
  2. Organize training programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and certificate courses.
Industry and Stakeholder Engagement:
  1. Build partnerships with financial institutions, industry associations, and other organizations.
  2. Host seminars, panel discussions, and talks/lectures by industry experts.
Operational Oversight:
  1. Manage day-to-day administration, including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning.
  2. Supervise support staff, interns, and research associates.
Communication and Outreach:
  1. Oversee the Centre's online and offline visibility, including publications and website updates.
  2. Represent the Centre at conferences, academic forums, and industry meetings.

Desired Profile:

  • Masters or Ph.D. degree in Finance, Economics, Management, or related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of experience in academia, research management, or financial services companies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage academic and research programs.
