Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled API Lead Developer to join our team. This role will involve designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-performance, high-availability, and secure APIs/microservices based on the architecture guidelines and selected tooling.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop reusable, testable, and standard-compliant code.
  • Define the logical design of functional modules.
  • Design data models for APIs.
  • Document design and code.
  • Analyze, track, and provide updates on the latest trends in the market by staying up to date with new technology trends in the API landscape.

Requirements:
  • Expertise in building scalable and distributed API systems in the cloud environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Java and/or Node, including expertise in application frameworks like Spring Boot/NestJS/etc.
  • Proficiency in databases like PostgreSQL/MongoDB/MySQL/Oracle etc.
  • In-depth understanding of SOA/EAI/ESB concepts.
  • Experience with API management software like Azure API Management or MuleSoft, or Apigee.
  • Expertise in integrating non-functional requirements (security, performance, etc.) in the solution.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker (writing Docker files, managing versions of the images) and integration using Kubernetes cluster.
  • Expertise in Test Driven Development and Testing frameworks like Jest/JUnit.
  • CI/CD practices and building release pipelines.
  • Code quality, code coverage, unit testing, and integration testing in CI/CD pipelines.

Desirable Qualifications:
  • Airline/Aviation industry experience.
  • Amadeus DAPI expertise or Amadeus Loyalty APIs.
  • Full-stack engineer experience.
  • Technology experience in large-scale distributed systems, analytics, and visualisation, and AI/Machine Learning.
  • Domain experience in Over-the-top media services/Retail/E-commerce.
  • Microservices/service mesh architecture and best practices in deploying highly scalable and resilient applications/platforms on the cloud.
  • gRPC/Protocol buffers experience.
  • Building APIs/microservices that integrate with various data storages like RDBMS/Nosql Document store/Columnar storages.
  • Proficiency in Domain-Driven Design.
  • Service Mesh, Event-driven Architecture.
  • GraphQL experience.
  • Messaging Queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka etc).
