Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex HR solutions from scratch in ABAP.
  • Work closely with the SAP HR infotype framework, including custom infotypes, dynamic actions, and subtype logic.
  • Develop and stabilize HR processes across PA, OM, Payroll, and Time Management.
  • Build and maintain integrations using SOAP web services, RFCs, and classic HR data exchange patterns.
  • Deliver scalable reports, conversions, and batch programs with a focus on performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with architects to shape long-term HR technology solutions.
  • Support transformations toward S/4HANA while safeguarding critical HR logic.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Requirements:

  • 7+ years of SAP ABAP experience, with at least 5 years focused on SAP HR engineering.
  • Deep expertise with the infotype framework and HR master data clusters.
  • Proven ability with ABAP OO, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and HR-specific function modules.
  • Strong experience with web services (SOAP, proxies, RFCs), not just OData.
  • Skill in designing robust data models and optimizing performance for large-scale HR systems.
  • Excellent debugging ability in Payroll and Time evaluation contexts.
  • An engineer's mindset: clean, reusable, maintainable code that scales.
