Project Engineer Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive project engineer to work closely with senior project managers in the coordination and execution of industrial construction projects.

The ideal candidate will support senior project managers by preparing reports, charts, and project documentation, communicate with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders effectively, coordinate design and engineering between different disciplines and perform clash checks for PEB, civil works, piping, ducts, and openings, develop preliminary schedules, bar charts, catch-up plans, and look-ahead schedules to ensure project progress, assist in cost estimating, tendering processes, and tender documentation to facilitate smooth project execution, expedite and follow up on submissions, resolving bottlenecks proactively to maintain project momentum, track and report potential or actual project conflicts to the project manager, ensuring timely resolution, prepare meeting minutes and ensure timely follow-up on action points to maintain project efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare reports, charts, and project documentation to support senior project managers.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders effectively.
  • Coordinate design and engineering between different disciplines and perform clash checks for PEB, civil works, piping, ducts, and openings.
  • Develop preliminary schedules, bar charts, catch-up plans, and look-ahead schedules to ensure project progress.
  • Assist in cost estimating, tendering processes, and tender documentation to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Expedite and follow up on submissions, resolving bottlenecks proactively to maintain project momentum.
  • Track and report potential or actual project conflicts to the project manager, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Prepare meeting minutes and ensure timely follow-up on action points to maintain project efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (B.E.) or Master's in Construction/Project Management (M. Tech in CPM).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in project or construction management within consultancy or construction organizations.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in industrial construction projects.
  • Basic understanding of cost estimation, tendering, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in preparing schedules, bar charts, and project tracking tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up abilities to remove bottlenecks and expedite progress.
