About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to lead our database migration programs, ensuring seamless transitions and minimizing business disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end migration lifecycle across assessment, planning, execution, validation, and post-migration optimization.
  • Define and drive migration strategy, methodologies, and best practices for zero/near-zero downtime, high availability/ disaster recovery.
  • Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations across various platforms, leveraging cloud-native solutions in AWS and Azure.
  • Perform end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik and RMAN, ensuring data integrity and continuity.
  • Implement delta data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration, minimizing service interruption.
  • Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring, health checks, and proactive alerting, maintaining optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cloud architects, infrastructure teams, and application owners, to ensure smooth migration with minimal business impact.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership/managerial roles overseeing database migration programs.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud environments, delivering successful outcomes.
  • Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, optimizing system performance.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS and Azure, leveraging platform capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities, ensuring effective collaboration and project delivery.
