Database Specialist

High-Performance Database Expert Required

We are seeking a skilled Database Specialist to take on the role of optimizing and maintaining our database systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management systems, including relational and NoSQL databases, with a deep understanding of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can design, tune, and maintain databases to support high-performance applications.

  • Design and implement database schemas, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures, improving system efficiency and data retrieval.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to application developers on database design, query tuning, and best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and SQL query tuning to enhance application performance.
  • Manage RDBMS and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install, configure, and maintain database systems; apply upgrades and patches to maintain system integrity.
  • Develop and implement SQL patches and oversee data migrations to ensure data accuracy and availability.
  • Recommend system improvements to increase database performance and reliability.
  • Prepare and present reports on database health and performance statistics to stakeholders.
  • Assist with large-scale data migration activities, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL DB.
  • Strong experience in PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server.
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to Application Developers.
  • Skills in schema design, code review, SQL query tuning.
  • Experience in installing, tuning, implementing, and upgrading DBMS installations.
  • Ability to write and deploy SQL patches.
  • Knowledge of application schema and data upgrades.
  • Ability to make recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collation, preparation, and presentation of statistical information and reports for internal and external use.
  • Strong knowledge in Stored Procedure, Trigger, View, Cursor, large scale Data migration activities, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and development best practices.

Years of experience: 5-6 years

Education qualification: BE/BTech/MCA/MTech
