Patent Specialist Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft patent applications for innovations in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.
  • Manage prosecution projects, including formulating response strategies for office actions and drafting complete responses to such actions.
  • Develop provisional specifications and comprehensive patent applications, including well-crafted claim sets that align with US and EP patent standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on various technical areas.
  • Mentor interns and team members on assigned technology areas, offering direction and support for drafting and/or prosecution work.
  • Apply process knowledge to produce consistent high-quality results in assigned tasks.
  • Perform multiple tasks and work independently on assigned projects, including creating and supporting processes for client deliverables, talent development, etc.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues, promote best practices, and provide recommendations to enhance team performance and productivity.
  • Utilize available tools to analyze and solve problems.
  • Participate in the hiring process (preparing test materials, evaluating candidates).
  • Lead team members in specialized technical assignments and projects requiring a high level of proficiency and competency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering/technology from a reputable institution.
  • Excellent domain knowledge in ICT fields (Information and Communication Technologies).
  • 4+ years of experience in patent drafting and/or prosecution, with at least two years of experience in patent drafting for US jurisdiction.

Essential Experience: 50+ patent applications drafted for US domains.
