Job Title: GIS Developer

Location: Remote - India

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Geographic Information System (GIS) Developer to join our team. As a GIS Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing GIS solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in computer science, engineering, or related area
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a software developer implementing GIS solutions
  • Technical Skills: Experience with publishing and administering map services using GeoServer and ArcGIS Server, tuning and troubleshooting map services for optimal performance, maintaining and administering geodatabases using PostGIS, ArcGIS GeoDBs, open-source GIS software like GeoServer, PostGIS, GDAL, GeoPandas and GeoSpark, programming languages such as Python, Java, and TypeScript, ESRI APIs and tools (ArcObjects, Geoprocessing, ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Portal, ArcGIS Online, etc.), web frameworks such as Angular, React, Node.js, and Openlayers, SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work in an agile environment using Scrum and Kanban, analytical skills to address complex problems, process critical data, establish facts, and draw quality conclusions, ability to quickly learn and debug large complex systems in ambiguous situations, outgoing personality and a good team player, excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in communicating with people at various levels of the organization
