Job Title: Experienced Database Specialist

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with large, complex datasets and data structures.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases using PostgreSQL and NoSQL technologies.
  • Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless database integration.
  • Optimize database performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and deploy SQL patches, upgrade applications schema, and improve data upgrades.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  1. Minimum 3+ years of experience working with PostgreSQL.
  2. Expert-level skills in SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
  3. Knowledge of JSON and PostgreSQL support for JSON.
  4. PostGIS proficiency and understanding of core geospatial concepts.
  5. Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. Apache Cassandra) and NoSQL support in PostgreSQL.
  6. Experience working with time series databases.
  7. Message queuing, full text indexing, and other high-performance data concepts.
