Job Description

Business Systems Analyst Role Summary:

This is a senior-level position that involves collaborating with various stakeholders to successfully deliver consulting engagements. As a business systems analyst, you will work closely with client stakeholders and business users to gather and document solution requirements, design solutions, model and configure e-commerce data structures and business processes, collect and manipulate product data, define test scripts and acceptance criteria, manage requirement changes, facilitate defect tracking, and prioritize issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one-on-one or small group interviews to gather required use cases, functional requirements, and technical requirements for developing requirement documentation.
  • Apply analytical expertise to identify, evaluate, and document cost-effective e-commerce system requirements and procedures that meet business objectives and user needs.
  • Provide consultation services to clients on omnichannel-specific business topics, including product catalog modeling, inventory management, customer service, B2B customer management, B2B procurement, demand generation, promotion strategy, cross-channel commerce, and more.
  • Develop user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, data models, and process flow diagrams to communicate engagement scope to clients and delivery team members.
  • Ensure assigned work is completed within specified timeframes and communicate status if task delivery dates are at risk.
  • Collaborate with other project delivery team members to resolve business or systems issues.
  • Understand e-commerce data structures, collect product catalogue data from clients, manipulate data for import into e-commerce systems, identify data gaps, and perform product data imports into e-commerce systems (project-dependent).
  • Provide system demonstrations and training to client business users.
  • Develop test plans, write manual/automated test scripts, and define acceptance criteria to ensure high-quality project deliverables (project-dependent).
