Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of supplies, equipment, and services. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to understand their needs, negotiate contracts with suppliers, and manage relationships to meet operational requirements efficiently and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• To receive quotations from various suppliers and prepare comparative rate statements for management approval.
• To prepare purchase orders and work orders for required products and send them to suppliers.
• To follow up on delivery details from suppliers, inform concerned departments, collect items from stores, and issue payments without delay.
• To verify pending purchase orders, follow up on status, and close indents in inventory software.
• To monitor supplier performance, prepare reports, and submit them as required by management and regulatory bodies such as NABH, NABL, and NAAC.
• To conduct Purchase Committee meetings twice a year, prepare minutes, and submit them as needed.
• To issue Form 16 A to suppliers and contractors annually.

Requirements:

• Any degree with computer skills; a Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or purchasing, preferably in the healthcare or hospital industry.
• Experience in negotiating contracts, managing suppliers, and working with medical supplies and equipment.
• Good computer skills, good communication skills in Tamil and English, and Hindi (preferred).

Location:

Puducherry, Villupuram, and Cuddalore only. No accommodation will be provided.

Salary Range: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
