  • Piping Material Engineers are responsible for leading and controlling piping engineering activities. They act as senior technical experts, providing advanced technical guidance for optimum material and piping-related engineering.;
  • This role may require frequent travel to various locations worldwide.;

Key Responsibilities

  2. Focal point for Topside Piping Material in Project Teams and communicate with Clients.;
  3. Update and Maintain EPCI and O & M Phase Lesson Learnt database.;
  4. Ensure all engineering documents are prepared and developed in accordance with relevant design code, standard, client project specification, and quality management system.;
  5. Provide engineering expertise and support to form the optimum and competitive efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant for Piping and utility system.;
  6. Attend project meetings internally and externally (with clients, third-party, sub-contractor) and generate MOM.;
  7. Manage interface with all relevant disciplines to get necessary information for material engineering or to provide data to other disciplines for their engineering.;
  8. Perform Pipe wall thickness calculation in accordance with ASME B31.3 / B 31.4 and B 31.8 codes and standards and regulations.;
  9. Develop piping material specifications, Valve material specifications, Specialty item Datasheets, Piping Bulk MTO and Manual valve MTO.;
  10. Prepare RFQs, TBEs for Piping Bulk MTO and Manual valves, and SP Items.;
  11. Review of vendor proposals, prepare technical bid clarifications, attend clarification meetings. Review and approve vendor data and deliverables.;
  12. Review Vendor Documents, Engineering Deliverables to ensure full compliance with contract requirements and meet with company/client specifications.;
  13. Assist in resolving technical issues during the fabrication, installation & commissioning phases.;
  14. Report Area of Concerns, Progress and Plan to Head of Discipline.;
  15. Review and approve the work of less experienced team members to ensure quality and accuracy.;
  16. Maintain accurate records of design changes, decisions, and project milestones.;
  17. Conduct feasibility studies, Pre-FEED, FEED, FEED Verification (Inception of EPCI Phase) and EPCI phase Engineering.;
  18. Provide engineering review and support for bid proposal.;
  19. Raise Technical Queries towards the clients project documents, Design basis to ensure all scopes of work and design basis are clarified.;
