Job Title: Piping Fabrication Engineer

 

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piping Fabrication Engineer to join our team. As a Piping Fabrication Engineer, you will be responsible for creating accurate piping drawings, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create piping general arrangement drawings (GA), isometric drawings, spool drawings, and fabrication drawings.
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for piping layouts, supports, and assemblies.
  • Interpret design inputs, PIDs, piping instrumentation diagrams, and engineering specifications for drafting.
  • Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and support material take-off (MTO) for piping fabrication.
  • Evaluate drawings for compliance with ASME, ASTM, and other relevant piping standards.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, site engineers, and fabrication teams for clarifications and modifications.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, 2D, and 3D.
  • Knowledge of Plant 3D, PDMS, and SolidWorks is an added advantage.
  • Understanding of piping fabrication, welding, supports, and mechanical equipment layouts.
  • Knowledge of PIDs, ASME, ANSI codes, and fabrication standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with engineers and fabrication teams.
