Job Title: MEP Project Engineer

Job Description:

  • The role of a MEP project engineer involves overseeing the day-to-day work of a team, managing designs and implementation, and witnessing, reviewing, and commenting on contractors testing and commissioning results.
  • Key responsibilities include ensuring installation, inspection, and testing meet specifications and regulatory requirements, directing, monitoring, and controlling subcontractor activities, and supervising contractors, labourers, and vendors to ensure work follows specifications and meets deadlines.
  • Other duties may involve inspecting work sites for code compliance and safety hazards, ensuring all plans meet regulatory requirements, facilitating problem-solving among subcontractors, clients, vendors during construction, validating design issues related to fire fighting, and suggesting alternative solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire protection systems in high-rise, residential projects, or commercial buildings.
  • Excellent exposure to all aspects of fire fighting systems, sprinkler systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience in at least one full cycle of project from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.
