Senior Publishing Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee the publication process of our prestigious scientific journal. This role will guide cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality scientific publications efficiently.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the publishing teams, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Oversee manuscript workflow from peer review to publication, maintaining timeliness, quality, and adherence to journal standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to increase throughput and reduce publication timelines.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies like AI to enhance workflows and productivity.
  • Define team KPIs and departmental goals; monitor performance and ensure accountability.
  • Maintain scientific rigor and editorial excellence across all published content, aligning with our standards.

Requirements:

  • A Master's or Ph.D. in life sciences.
  • 10+ years of experience in academic, scientific publishing or edtech content production, specializing in managing publication workflows.
  • 7+ years of proven management experience.
  • Strong understanding of peer review, open access trends, and evolving scientific publishing models.
  • Experience with digital publishing technologies and workflow automation tools.
