Job Title: Project Manager for Data Engineering and Migration Projects

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead our data engineering and migration projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project management process, ensuring timely delivery, and aligning with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead data engineering or data migration initiatives from start to finish.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and objectives.

  • Coordinate with teams to gather requirements, monitor progress, and resolve issues.

  • Manage data integration efforts to ensure smooth data flow across different platforms and systems.

  • Handle risks, change requests, and project adjustments while maintaining communication with stakeholders.

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.

  • Manage the performance of third-party vendors and contractors (if applicable).

  • Ensure compliance with relevant data governance policies and security standards.

  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in project management with a focus on data engineering or data migration.

  • Experience in managing large-scale data transformation, migration, or integration projects.

  • Strong knowledge of database management, ETL processes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

  • Hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Python, Apache Spark, or other data processing frameworks.

  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and data security.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
