Powertrain Calibration Specialist

Job Summary

As a Powertrain Calibration Specialist at Royal Enfield, you will be responsible for developing and validating engine control systems, with a focus on engine calibration development in both base engine dynamometer and vehicle application. You will work with product groups to ensure successful engine application and integration into the vehicle.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and specify test procedures and equipment necessary to conduct powertrain performance and control system development testing.
  • Ensure data integrity and all technical aspects of the testing process, reporting with common data output format and testing conclusions.
  • Develop and implement calibrations for engine mapping of air charge, open loop fuel delivery, transient fuel ignition timing, IACV/throttle control, speed and power limits, closed-loop fuelling, torque control, and chassis functions where applicable.
  • Coordinate testing aspects of engine and vehicle development projects, including developing test criteria, systems requirement specifications, creating test plans, setting goals, objectives, and schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical/Automobile) or equivalent.
