This role is responsible for generating costing & insights by combining data from various teams to deliver valuable and unique studies to customers, supporting them in optimizing their products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop bottom-up costing and ZBC / Direction costing as per customer expectations.
  • Conduct cost studies, planning, quality, meeting deadlines, and analyzing input data.
  • Identify materials and manufacturing processes, cost them using internal tools and methodologies.
  • Understand and explain product operation, system, subsystem, component, and function.
  • Identify and recommend ways to optimize the cost of a system or vehicle features.
  • Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies.
  • Write study reports according to required quality standards.
  • Presentation and client satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 8 – 12 years of relevant experience for Senior Cost & Insights Engineer / 0 to 7 years of relevant experience for Cost & Insights Engineer, completed studies in B.E. / M.E. in Mechanical or Automobile or Electrical or Electronics or Mechatronics.
  • Knowledge of automobile and auto-parts.
  • Experience in electronics development, HW/ systems development & simulation models, an advantage.
  • Familiar with Vehicle safety regulations and knowledge of design rules concerning e-powertrain components.
  • Manufacturing exposures, such as Stampings & Fabrications, Forging, Castings, Machining, Plastic Injection Molding, Fabrics & Foam.
  • Understanding of technically complex contexts, Proprietary parts.
  • Open-minded personality, self-confident appearance, and very good English skills.
  • Knowledge on BOMs, PCB's, Cost Structure.
  • Good communication skills, ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong technical mindset, able to read and interpret technical data, translate/decipher to others.
  • Results orientated and organized, able to deliver against deadlines.
