Financial Controller

This is a challenging full-time role for a seasoned financial expert responsible for overseeing the financial activities of a hotel.

The individual will manage budgets, forecast finances, conduct audits and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Consolidation: Manage and consolidate financial accounts across multiple hotels and F&B outlets.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare management information reports and variance analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Audits and Compliance: Conduct statutory, tax, and internal audits specific to the hospitality industry and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flows, working capital, and treasury management at a group level.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support annual budgeting and reforecasting for each hotel unit.
  • Process Standardization: Standardize accounting processes and internal controls across properties.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with banks, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Insight Provision: Provide actionable insights on cost management, revenue streams, and profitability improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA): A qualified Chartered Accountant with 3–7 years post-qualification experience.
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in hospitality / multi-unit business is strongly preferred.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Sound knowledge of hotel accounting, tax compliance, and financial controls.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems, hotel PMS, and MS Excel.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
