Job Title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled cloud infrastructure engineer to work in a dynamic environment. As a resident engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and steady-state reliability of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor, triage, and resolve incidents; drive problem management and root-cause analysis.
  • Perform routine health checks and remediation across virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network security.

Platform Administration:

  • Virtualization: clusters, resource pools, high availability, live migration, templates, VM lifecycle.
  • Storage: policy-based management, capacity planning, resync monitoring, performance troubleshooting.
  • Network Security: segmentation, firewalls, routing concepts, load balancing.
  • Monitoring and Analytics: dashboards, alert tuning, capacity/performance analytics, reporting.

Security & Compliance:

  • Implement and validate firewall rules and segmentation policies.
  • Adhere to industry standards and best practices for security and compliance.

Stakeholder Management & Handover:

  • Provide regular status updates, capacity/performance reports, and knowledge bases.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer to operational teams.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong hands-on experience with virtualization administration in production.
  • Practical experience with storage operations and policy-based management.
  • Working knowledge of network security concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Solid understanding of data center networking fundamentals and storage basics.
  • Comfortable with change/incident processes and documentation.
