Job Description

As a Cloud Engineering Lead, you will oversee the management and scaling of Docker and Kubernetes infrastructure. This role involves designing and implementing cloud architectures, leading containerization, and automation across various projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with delivering container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes. They should be well-versed in writing Helm Charts, configuring Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines, and managing cloud resources using Terraform.

A strong understanding of container security, performance monitoring, and scaling policies is essential. The candidate should also have expertise in Linux, Python, Yaml, or similar languages, as well as knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Helm, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS) across AWS environments.
  • Lead the development and automation of CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD, Cilium, TeamCity, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline.
  • Expertly manage cloud resources using Terraform and develop reusable, version-controlled IaC modules.
  • Configure and optimize Kubernetes clusters to ensure compliance with container security standards.
  • Oversee Docker image creation, tagging, and management, including maintaining secure, efficient Docker repositories.
  • Utilize monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Cloudwatch Container Insight to ensure system performance.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical issues and maintain SOPs and documentation for incident response and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • BE/B.Tech or higher in CS, IT, or EE.
  • Hands-on experience of 7-8 years in delivering container-based deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Good exposure in writing Helm Charts and configuring Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in writing manifest files for Deployment, Service, Pod, Daemon Sets, Persistent Volume (PV), Persistent Volume Claim (PVC), Storage, Namespaces.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Python, Yaml, or similar languages.
  • Build and deploy Docker containers to break up monolithic apps into microservices.
  • Strong understanding of container security and relevant tool experience.
  • Strong knowledge of container performance monitoring and scaling policies.
