About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Project Manager to join our team at Nouryon. As a Cyber Security Project Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, leading, executing, and delivering best-in-class cyber security projects that add value to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, lead, execute, and deliver cyber security projects within defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Select, lead, and develop a multifunctional project team.
  • Apply and adhere to Nouryon's project management methodology.
  • Ensure compliance to company directives.
  • Take ownership of project delivery, bringing value to the business with accountability.

Project Initiation – Identify and analyze business needs, stakeholders, and linkages to other projects, and define project scope and objectives.

Result: Project scope and objectives are clear, attainable, and approved.

Project Plan – Formulate the project plan, ensure procurement involvement, define project execution and delivery model, determine budget, and required resources, clarify role and involvement level of team members, and acquire approval.

Result: Project plan, budget, and required resources are approved.

Project Execution – Coordinate, monitor, and accountably manage project activities, manage and mitigate project risks, issues, changes, and deviations, and take corrective actions when necessary. Build a comprehensive set of retrievable and broadly accessible project documentation, including reporting.

Project Delivery & Closure – Ensure readiness for mechanical completion and handover to operations, evaluate and close project, identify and analyze lessons learned, archive project documents, and handover project to operations and/or line management and PMO.

Result: Completion of project objectives, realization of deliverables, continuous improvement of project management skills, feedback relevant data to PMO, and acceptance of end product by business.

Relations Management – Build, maintain, and utilize a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners and represent the project within the organization.

Result: Network is sustainable and accessible and contributes to project success.

Project Information – Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical progress, financial, risk, and ad-hoc reports and/or analyses to the project champion and the project Steering Committee.

Result: Project information enables management and/or other stakeholders to make timely decisions and determine or adjust project plan.

People Management and Development (where applicable) – Attract, (functionally) lead, coach, appraise, and develop employees, ensure staffing, and stimulate talent management.

Result: Project team is engaged, deployable (quantitative and qualitative), and capable of realizing the (department/team) objectives.

Negotiations – Negotiate, strategically, technically, and financially consulted by procurement with internal and/or external parties, acquire approval, and/or close contracts/SLAs and monitor compliance with contracts/SLAs.

Result: Services of internal and/or external parties against reasonable quality and price.

Specifics – Handover to operations. The Project Manager remains responsible for budget and schedule control, project final documentation, and financial close-out.

Requirements

  • Relevant content experience in different multiple units of chemical plants, disciplines, locations (cultures – international environment), and/or other companies.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cyber security projects.
  • More than 8 years project management experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant works experience in an international corporation.
  • Significant relevant work experience and broad general knowledge of information security IT security management.
  • Experience supporting and working on various cyber security technology projects such as SIEM, Logging tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR, UEBA.
  • Knowledge of authentication technologies such as privileged access management, Active Directory, etc.
  • Knowledge of networking and networking protocols.
  • Master/bachelor's degree in business management, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related field of study.
  • Professional certification – PMP or equivalent.
  • Cyber Security certifications a plus.

  • Ability to drive continuous improvement of processes, policies, standards.
  • Able to work in an inclusive way in the engineering community to make sure the business experiences 'one voice' and the project team's collective objectives are met.

  • Good structured and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills in English both verbal and written.

  • Able to impart knowledge and learn quickly.
  • Team player, contributes to project team's ability to reach maximum performance.
  • Demonstrated high performance levels and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
