Job Title: Animator & Rigger Mentor

We are a rapidly growing studio, specializing in VFX for Japanese films.

To enhance our expertise, we seek an experienced Supervisor with extensive experience in Hollywood film productions to mentor and direct artists, particularly in the field of Animation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive training on Autodesk Maya and Blender Software for Film and Advertising needs, from basic to advanced levels.
  • Prioritize teaching various Animation and Rigging styles (realistic, cartoonish, stylized, etc.).
  • Teach efficient animation techniques and provide solutions for integration between Autodesk Maya and Blender or vice versa.
  • Offer effective and efficient training to in-house Animators and Riggers to enhance individual skills.
  • Share insight into experiences as an Animator and Rigger in global cinema.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Mastery of animation and rigging using Blender and Maya software.
  • Mastery of animation principles and flexibility in applying them, especially in realistic or semi-realistic character animation.
  • Mastery of animation workflows and pipelines.
  • Problem-solving: ability to address animation issues independently of tools.
  • Adaptability: ability to adjust animation style to suit the project.
  • Mastery and understanding of anatomy and deformation of living creatures.
  • Ability to create rigging that facilitates animators.
  • Ability to adapt rigs to animation styles.
  • Ability to mentor junior animators and riggers.
