Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Description:

This is a senior-level position for a full-stack developer to design, build, and maintain high-availability production systems on AWS Cloud.

The primary focus will be on migrating legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture, upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications, and driving code refactoring, upgrades, security, and resilience improvements, monitoring, and other operational enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud.
  • Migrate legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture, leveraging agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Upgrade legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications, ensuring high-quality and secure code, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes.
  • Test, document, and quality-proof work to ensure that software meets business and operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and appropriate resolutions.
  • Support production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Monitor metrics and identify ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, support, and security teams.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of Java and related frameworks, such as Spring/Spring Boot.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and related frameworks, including old frameworks like Backbone.js/Marionette.js, and JQuery.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD practices, build, and deployment technologies.
  • Experience working with REST APIs and cloud infrastructure, such as AWS.
  • Understanding of security concepts and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
