As a seasoned professional, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and improving our retail technology systems. With a focus on Oracle XStore software, you will collaborate with engineering teams to design technical solutions, ensure seamless integration of point-of-sale (POS) applications with omni-channel systems, and drive business growth through data-driven insights.

About the Position:

The POS application is a complex system requiring specialized knowledge. As a systems analyst, you will leverage your expertise to analyze business requirements, design technical specifications, and ensure the smooth operation of our POS system. We operate within an agile framework, encouraging collaboration and delivering critical business initiatives.

A Day in Your Life:
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the POS application.
  • Develop business cases, including cost/benefit analysis, for strategic initiatives and special projects.
  • Ensure production data accuracy, integrity, and cleanliness for guest and employee profiles, transactions, etc.
  • Build and optimize monitoring and alerting capabilities across multiple integrations, not limited to POS.
  • Automate report generation in Power BI, Splunk, etc., to obtain meaningful KPIs.
  • Understand the architecture of applications and the technology stack to recommend appropriate strategies to ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, QA testers, and IT support staff.
  • Analyze real/actual data for business reporting, project decision-making, and production issues troubleshooting.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is advantageous.
  • 7+ years of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, with a focus on POS applications.
  • Proficiency in Oracle databases, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Knowledge of POS hardware and software integration. XStore POS-related experience is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
