Information Security Risk Specialist

Job Description

The Information Security Risk Specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities across infrastructure, data, applications, mobile, and networks. Utilizing security tools and threat modeling techniques, the specialist will evaluate the likelihood and impact of various security risks and identify top priorities.

Analysis of security data from multiple sources will provide insights into potential risks and security gaps. Maintenance of risk records and risk acceptances regarding IT, information, or cyber security in the company's risk register/GRC tool is also a key responsibility.

The specialist will research, identify, and interpret cybersecurity requirements and standards with the help of legal and compliance teams. Staying up-to-date with evolving cybersecurity regulations and legal requirements at local, national, and international levels is crucial.

Conducting risk analysis of existing and new third-parties playing a significant role in the company's supply chain and with access to company or customer data or the company's systems is another key responsibility.

Collection and organization of data to identify potential risks across various business units and preparation of appropriate metrics and reports are essential duties.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years technical experience in a security role within industry, assurance services, or a consultancy.
  • De facto or international standards for control, such as CoBIT, ISO 2700x, NIST CSF, etc.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools and methods.
  • Experience in mobile, web application, infrastructure, and cloud penetration testing.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
