Electrical Design Expert

The role involves conceptualizing and implementing electrical systems, working closely with a team to ensure effective solutions.

  • Key areas of focus include designing power conversion units, developing detailed specifications for purchasing and installation, and participating in regular project meetings.
  • Identifying future solution based on market evolution, improvements, and weaknesses is crucial.
  • Staying updated on new technologies and suppliers development ensures the best technical and economic solution.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and understanding customer specifications to establish deviation lists between standard solutions and requests.
  • Considering local regulations and specific requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Designing and specifying electrical philosophy, high-voltage transformers, and power electronics.
  • Managing electrical protections, defining earthing and grounding solutions, and participating in FAT and SAT related to studies.
  • Contacting suppliers in collaboration with the Purchasing Department to ensure technical comparison of offers.
  • Developing engineering processes and templates for the team, ensuring technological watch and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • An engineering degree in power electronics or an electrical field.
  • A minimum 15-18 years' experience in engineering in an industrial environment.
  • Experience and knowledge in the Oil&Gas or Energy sector are highly valued.
  • Notions of instrumentation (gas) and automation principles.
  • Knowledge of software like ETAP and standards such as Functional Safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility, and Explosive Atmosphere.
  • Fluency in English and French, proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
