Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Backend Development Lead to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in building scalable systems.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Elevate Code Quality – guide your team to write clean, efficient Golang code and mentor them on best practices.
  • Foster Collaboration – work closely with the product team to understand new features and projects, identifying the most effective way to build them.
  • Design Scalable Systems – develop architecture that can handle millions of requests without compromising performance.
  • Spearhead Kafka, AWS, and Containerized Deployments – leverage expertise in these technologies to keep systems running smoothly.
  • Ensure Code Best Practices – conduct detailed PR reviews, guarantee adherence to standards, and promote a culture of quality.
  • Maintain Team Alignment – participate in daily stand-ups and product backlog discussions to ensure everyone is informed and engaged.
  • Keep Tech Documentation Up-to-Date – maintain accurate records so team members can quickly find information.
  • Distribute Work Effectively – delegate tasks strategically, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Manage System Health – use tools like Grafana, New Relic, Sentry to identify potential issues, respond promptly to incidents, and optimize system performance.
  • Cultivate CI/CD Pipelines and Automation Scripts – contribute to improving the development lifecycle by refining pipelines and scripts.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend development experience, with at least 4+ years in Golang.
  • Strong understanding of system design principles and extensive experience in building large-scale systems.
  • Good grasp of Kafka.
  • Proficient in Docker; Kubernetes experience is highly valued.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda, Secrets Manager, EC2, Route 53).
  • Familiarity with MySQL and MongoDB.
  • Experience with at least one of these: Grafana (Loki, Tempo, Prometheus), New Relic, Sentry.
  • Ability to write basic automation scripts in Python or Shell.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
