Job Opportunity: Senior Civil Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Civil Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various civil engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in civil engineering, particularly in repairs, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

  • Provide technical guidance and advice on project development, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Oversee the preparation and authorization of technical drawings and engineering plans.
  • Conduct quality control checks, implementing methodologies to ensure proper execution of work, including preparing checklists and reports.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, communicating any adjustments to team members and stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Review and interpret contract design documents supplied by clients or architects.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols on-site.
  • Monitor project timelines and costs, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress and outcomes.
  • Resolve unexpected technical issues and other problems that may arise during project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in repairs.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from a reputable university.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, officials, contractors, clients, and customers.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
