Job Title: Survey Engineer

Job Description:

As a survey engineer, you will play a vital role in the offshore wind project lifecycle, providing expert survey services from project execution to delivery. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure safe, technical, and commercial management of geophysical, geotechnical, and construction surveys.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Project execution lead for individual survey work scopes, encompassing health safety and environment, resourcing, permitting, and data management.
  • Geo-data integrity assurance.
  • Survey Subject Matter Expert to related disciplines, e.g. transportation and installation, construction, operations and maintenance.
  • Ensuring accuracy and adequacy of deliverables.
  • Collaborating with an integrated geoscience team to acquire and build fit-for-purpose integrated ground models for wind farm engineering.
  • Working closely with safety, consent, and procurement teams to ensure robust execution of works.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards.
  • Expertise in project management of survey operations, including relevant procurement, HSSE, technical commercial, and schedule management.
  • Expertise in off- and on-shore geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental survey execution; including demonstrable offshore experience.
  • Experience in geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of offshore wind ground engineering activities related to design, analysis, and installation for offshore wind infrastructure.

Professional Competencies/Skills:

  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage time effectively, working with distributed teams and time-zones.
  • Proven expertise of working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal technical supervision.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Comfortable reporting up to senior management.
Education and Experience:

We are seeking candidates with a degree in Survey & Mapping or Geoscience, and at least 10 years of relevant industry experience.

Appropriate professional accreditation is also required.
