Job Summary:

The Site Civil Construction Manager is responsible for leading projects from a civil construction perspective, encompassing planning through execution. This role ensures adherence to project requirements and quality standards.

The manager oversees stakeholder coordination, monitors progress, and manages billing and contractor relations to achieve timely and cost-effective project completion while maintaining safety and compliance with regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Pre-construction Planning:
      • Engage stakeholders to understand project specifications and requirements
      • Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and prepare detailed project proposals for management approval
      • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create and finalize project drawings, ensuring they meet project requirements and obtain necessary approvals
    • Project Execution and Monitoring:
      • Plan, monitor, coordinate, execute, inspect, and commission internal civil projects to ensure alignment with the planned timeline, budget, and quality standards
      • Supervise field work, including contract work, to ensure adherence to company standards, procedures, specifications, codes, and statutory compliances
      • Ensure timely completion of milestones while maintaining appropriate quality, time, and costs
      • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth project delivery
      • Conduct daily project review meetings with the civil team and contractors to track progress and take corrective actions
      • Enforce and maintain high-quality systems on-site through project quality plans, QC audits, and ISO compliances
    • Billing and Contractor Management:
      • Review and certify invoices and claims submitted by contractors and consultants, ensuring accuracy and justification
      • Process invoices in a timely manner to maintain smooth cash flow and contractor relations
      • Ensure contractors adhere to safety norms and maintain a safe working environment
      • Achieve cost savings through innovative approaches and modifications, reviewing alternate construction methodologies for quicker project delivery
