Lead Software Development Manager

About the Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Development Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple development projects, ensuring quality and timely results.
  • The successful candidate will lead teams through architecture, design, and code reviews while collaborating with cross-functional groups to build, test, and maintain web applications.
  • This is a leadership opportunity that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience in guiding team members towards achieving business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project plans, define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Oversee the implementation of robust solutions, develop features, and write unit tests that uphold high-quality standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior developers, guide team members through onboarding and training, and foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into clear specs, and work closely with teams to ensure timely delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 7 years of professional experience in backend software development, preferably leading engineering efforts.
  • Proven expertise with Node.js, frameworks like Express.js, and multi-threaded systems, concurrency, and backend performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines, as well as agile development workflows (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented and service-oriented architecture, excellent debugging and performance profiling skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in high-performing teams, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
