Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented quality professional to fill this role.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring software product quality by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and focusing on database testing.

This role requires a solid understanding of software testing methodologies, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Test Plan Development: Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications.
  • Manual and Automated Testing: Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality.
  • Database Testing: Conduct extensive database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries to validate data integrity, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Bug Tracking: Identify, document, and track bugs, defects, and performance issues using tools like Jira or similar.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
  • Functional and Regression Testing: Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years in software testing (Freshers with strong knowledge are welcome).
  • Software Development Life Cycle Understanding: Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience in manual testing, automation testing using tools like Selenium or Appium, and database testing using SQL.
  • Proficiency with Bug Tracking Tools: Proficiency with bug tracking tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Agile Methodologies Knowledge: Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
