IIB Middleware Developer Role

Designing and developing integration solutions is a key part of this role. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and be able to design, develop, test, and deploy integration flows that meet business requirements.

This position involves working closely with business analysts and architects to understand integration needs and translate them into technical solutions. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware and integration components to ensure high system availability.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, Develop, and Deploy Integration Flows: Utilize IBM Integration Bus (IIB) to create, test, and implement integration flows that meet business objectives.
  • Develop and Maintain Message Flows and Integration Components: Design and maintain message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute nodes, and other integration components to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware and integration components to ensure high system availability.
  • Perform Unit Testing and Integration Testing: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality and reliability of integration solutions.
  • Monitor and Optimize Performance: Monitor and optimize the performance of integration solutions to ensure they meet business requirements.
  • Document Procedures: Document design, development, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding.

The successful candidate will also have opportunities to work with other middleware technologies and tools as needed and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

  • Technical Skills:
  • IBM Integration Bus (IIB): Proficient in designing, developing, and deploying integration flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • Messaging Systems: Knowledge of messaging systems and ability to develop and maintain message flows.
  • ESQL, JavaCompute Nodes: Experienced in developing and maintaining ESQL and JavaCompute nodes.
  • Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with collaboration tools and version control systems.
