Piping Stress Engineer Job Description

As a skilled Piping Stress Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing piping systems to ensure they are safe and efficient. Your work will involve performing stress analysis using industry-standard software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.

You will also identify various data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage, extract surge force from PIPENET software, and prepare surge analysis reports. Additionally, you will conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and safe design practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis using Caesar II software and pipe supports design for pipelines/piping above-ground and underground.
  • Identify various data required to perform surge analysis for each project stage.
  • Extract surge force from PIPENET software.
  • Prepare surge analysis reports.
  • Conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations.
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of design codes and standards applicable for Pipe Stress Analysis (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ISO 14692).
  • Ability to understand process and analyze systems for pressure surges that could result from various possible events and provide recommendations to mitigate the same.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
