Reliability Engineering Lead

We're seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to join our team. With a strong background in site reliability engineering, you will work closely with the platform engineering and operations teams to design and implement reliable systems.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the reliability function within the organization and be a key member of the Group SRE team. The successful candidate will work with a small number of SREs to develop methodologies and strategies for identification of toil-heavy processes and for the automation and elimination of toil delay and redundancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help define, drive and implement the reliability strategy.
  • Promote an 'Automate-first' culture in operating services through reduction of toil.
  • Develop and implement Service Level Objectives and operate to Error Budgets.
  • Implement monitoring and observability technologies for enterprise-grade production systems.
  • Experience in corporate software development lifecycle methodology is essential.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of technical systems and critical Production Support processes.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on SRE Practitioner with 5+ years working experience in SRE role.
  • Practical experience defining and implementing Service Level Objectives and operating to Error Budgets.
  • Have implemented and operated monitoring and observability technologies for a wide range of enterprise-grade production systems.
  • 2+ years of experience with one/more public/private cloud platforms e.g. AWS Azure etc.
