The Role

As a Senior Python Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines using cloud technologies.

  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Python and cloud-based technologies.
  2. Implement Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to move data from diverse sources into our cloud-based data warehouse.
  3. Utilize cloud platforms to deploy, manage, and optimize data engineering solutions.
  4. Collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders to design effective data models.
  5. Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the overall data infrastructure on cloud platforms.
  6. Optimize data processes for improved performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness in a cloud environment.
  7. Monitor and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution and minimal impact on data availability.
  8. Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure accurate and complete data in the cloud-based data warehouse.
  9. Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide technical support.
  10. Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate data engineering solutions into larger cloud-based systems.
  11. Document data engineering processes, cloud architecture, and pipelines comprehensively.
