Overview
TE Connectivity is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Product Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design, schematic development, and layout optimization for various sensor products. Key responsibilities include creating components for Altium Nexus Library, participating in HW/Layout review, and creating and exporting manufacturing files.
Responsibilities
- Design PCBs, schematics, and layouts for sensor products and Smart Electronics projects.
- Create components for Altium Nexus Library.
- Participate in HW/Layout review.
- Create and export manufacturing files.
- Develop project deliverables such as DFMEA, drawings, and Release.
- Creation of Gerber files, Electronic BOMs, and other relevant documents.
- Support VAVE/cost-down concept design.
- Knowledge of product validation plans and tracking.
- Component selection.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering/Electronics discipline.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in schematic and PCB design, preferably in Altium Designer.
- Experience in circuit simulation with LTspice or similar simulation programs.
- Experience with manufacturing development processes in the automotive environment of PCB/PCBA.
- Experience in quality standards, thermal management, clearance/creepage, panel design in printed circuit board development for the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of Press fit technology.
- Knowledge on functional safety design acc. ISO26262.
- Good knowledge in verification of the electronic/electrical design, including definition of test criterion, test method, test set-up, etc.
- Exposure to structured new product development process and stage gate frameworks to execute project activities from initial research & development throughout the entire project development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in use of MS Office tools.
- Exceptional fluency in English.
