Job Summary

A highly skilled Storage Solutions Architect is required to design, implement and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience with distributed storage technologies including Ceph, ZFS and NFS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain distributed storage systems including Ceph, ZFS and NFS for use across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to storage, networking and container orchestration systems.
  • Implement monitoring, logging and alerting for infrastructure using tools like Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with development and SRE teams to ensure seamless CI/CD and infrastructure reliability.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Document architectural decisions, standard operating procedures and best practices.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Proficient with Ceph (RADOS, RBD, CephFS) and ZFS administration.
  • Solid experience managing NFS servers and performance tuning.
  • Preferred knowledge of Kubernetes internals, networking and cluster lifecycle management.
  • Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd), Helm etc.
  • Experience with cloud providers (AWS, GCP or Azure) is a plus.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience using the Rook-Ceph operator for Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of CSI storage drivers and volume provisioning in Kubernetes.
  • Certifications such as CKA, CKAD or RHCSA are a plus.

The role involves working with customer engineering teams on a wide variety of cloud projects including migration, containerization and transformation initiatives.
