Job Title: Data Governance Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking an accomplished Data Governance Strategist to lead enterprise-wide governance initiatives and take ownership of our data management platform. The successful candidate will design governance frameworks, drive adoption, and enable trusted data for analytics, compliance, and AI initiatives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer our data management platform across the enterprise
  • Design and configure the operating model (domains, assets, workflows, and roles)
  • Build and optimize custom workflows using BPMN and Workflow Designer
  • Integrate with various platforms via APIs/connectors
  • Partner with data owners, stewards, and leadership to enforce governance policies and data stewardship models
  • Establish frameworks for data cataloging, lineage, metadata, and quality management
  • Provide training, mentorship, and best practices to business and technical teams
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • 6+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with our data management platform, including configuration, workflow design, and integrations
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management
  • Expertise with APIs, BPMN, and scripting (Groovy, JavaScript)
  • Experience with data catalog, business glossary, and lineage
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Informatica
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Our data management platform certification is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Apart from the requirements, it would be beneficial if you have:

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale deployments
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA)
  • Foundation in data architecture or data engineering
