Job Description:

A SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst is a cybersecurity professional responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to security threats within an organisation's IT infrastructure. They act as the first line of defense against cyberattacks, working to identify, analyze and mitigate security incidents.

The role requires a high level of technical expertise in information security, including knowledge of industry standards and best practices.

They must be able to work effectively in a team environment, providing guidance and support to colleagues as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Schellman Methodology.
  • Guide associates and peers in implementing effective security controls.
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources to identify potential security threats.
  • Develop and implement strategies to mitigate security risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of security measures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, technology or other relevant subject area.
  • 2+ years of related professional services experience in information security auditing, assessment, consulting or compliance, focused on ITGC or SOC controls.
  • Ability to work well independently, within a team and with clients as well as travel ~40-50%.
  • Maintains (preferred) or working towards obtaining least one certification relevant to the role (i.e. CPA, CCSK or CISA).
