Cybersecurity Migration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced engineer to drive the migration of existing security infrastructure to the Palo Alto Networks XSIAM platform.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for migrating IBM QRadar SIEM and security tools to Palo Alto Networks XSIAM, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
• Evaluate existing security data sources, event logs, and integrations to assess their feasibility and readiness for migration.
• Design and implement integrations between XSIAM and existing security infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint protection, cloud platforms, and other systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customized detection rules, automated workflows, and response playbooks within XSIAM, driving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Validate data ingestion, correlation, alerting, and reporting post-migration to ensure accuracy and performance, making necessary adjustments as needed.
• Foster close working relationships with cybersecurity teams, network engineers, and stakeholders to align migration goals with organizational security policies and objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data migration, ingestion, and platform configuration, ensuring high uptime and availability.
• Provide training and documentation for security operations teams on using and managing XSIAM, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity analytics, automation, and Palo Alto Networks product updates, applying new insights and best practices to drive innovation and improvement.

• Demonstrated experience with Palo Alto Networks security products, especially XSIAM or Cortex platforms, and a strong background in SIEM, SOAR, and security analytics tools.
• Proven track record of successfully migrating from other SIEM solutions, preferably IBM Qradar to Palo Alto Networks XSIAM, with expertise in scripting and automation languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) to support integrations and playbooks.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, incident response, and log management, with relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Engineer (PCNSE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic security environment.
• Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration into XSIAM, knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA, GDPR), and ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
