Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the quality of our software systems.

">

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for testing new system software versions using automated testing tools and creating test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.

  • Test new system software versions using automated testing tools, including functional, user acceptance testing (UAT), performance, and regression testing on trading and financial applications.
  • Create, maintain, and update test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.
  • Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss issues and report on the status of testing.
  • Follow QA standards and policies.
  • Provide estimates to help QA management produce an accurate schedule.
  • Support the Product Management group in testing various business scenarios and verifying functionality.
  • Release management involves maintaining application versions and facilitating version upgrades in all environments.

  • Knowledge of fixed income and/or derivatives markets is an asset.

Technical Skills:

">
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with OpenText Unified Functional Testing (UFT).
  • Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira) and Test Case Management Tools.
  • Ability to design, code, and document automated test cases within a defined framework to ensure the quality of a functional domain.
  • Ability to create new test cases based on requirements documents and guidance from the Product and Development teams.
  • Translate existing manual regression test cases into automated UFT tests.
  • Knowledge of and experience with financial products, such as FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, etc.
  • Programming languages such as Java, C#, C++ are an asset.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in science and/or engineering.
  • 3+ years of general Quality Assurance experience with multi-tiered complex trading and/or risk management systems in the financial industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working with UFT.
