Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned information security professional to join our team as a Specialist Data Security Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a significant impact in the field of data protection.

  • This role requires expertise in designing, operating, maintaining, and enhancing technical systems that ensure data protection across all global operations.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of identifying new risk areas for data and planning controls to mitigate those risks.
  • They should also be well-versed in researching new technologies, processes, and approaches based on industry practices and recommending future plans for data protection.
Key Responsibilities
  • Designing, implementing, and operating technical systems for data protection
  • Identifying and mitigating new risk areas for data
  • Researching new technologies and approaches for data protection
  • AUTHORS procedures and guidelines and advises on policies related to data protection requirements and remediation or investigation of violations.
  • Develops and conducts training on data protection technologies for operations staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with one or more security frameworks, especially in regulated environments
  • Proficiency in specifying requirements for technical systems, designing, implementing, and operating those systems
  • Expertise in global IT operations, including understanding regulatory and cultural differences encountered when dealing with international peers and customers
  • Demonstrated competence in maintaining applications on Windows and Linux-based operating systems, and basic understanding of one or more programming or scripting languages
  • Cloud security certifications
