Job Title: Counter Threat Analyst
About the Role:We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to fill the role of Counter Threat Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience in threat detection, investigations, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:- Investigate potential threats, particularly in financial services (personal loans, credit cards, lines of credit)
- Identify suspicious behavior through data analysis, transaction monitoring, and customer profiling
- Take ownership of threat cases from detection to resolution, ensuring timely investigation and reporting
- Document findings, including threatened activities, risk assessments, and mitigation measures
- Analyse large datasets to detect unusual patterns or anomalies using threat detection tools
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of portfolio delinquency and suspicious cases
- Monitor threat trends and adapt investigative techniques to address evolving threats
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and risk management teams to integrate threat controls
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in threat analysis, preferably in fintech or financial services
- Strong expertise in threat detection tools, investigations, RCA, and trend analysis
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) measures, threat risk reduction, and account takeover prevention
- Proficiency in MS Excel; SQL skills are highly preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
