Job Title: Partnership Tax Specialist - Private Equity

We are seeking an experienced Partnership Tax Specialist to join our Private Equity Practice group. This role will focus on preparing and reviewing partnership entities and related state filings.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing operating agreements, letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other legal documentation related to tax transactions.
  • Expanding knowledge and application of Subchapter K through continuous professional development.
  • Performing complete and efficient technical reviews of pass-through entity tax returns.
  • Gathering data from customers and/or third-party sources.
  • Performing basic tax research to support tax return positions.
  • Resolving open items/issues encountered on assigned engagements.
  • Monitoring engagement economics by managing budgets and seeking efficiencies.
  • Directing and controlling concurrent assignments to successful completion.
  • Developing and leading associates through engagements, delegating tasks when appropriate.

The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or finance and significant progress toward an EA License or CPA certification. Minimum 3 years of recent public accounting firm experience is required, including expertise in partnership entities (Form 1065) and Subchapter K reporting matters. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as leadership and project/team management abilities. Knowledge of CCH Axcess is mandatory, with CaseWare preferred but not required.
