Senior US Tax Professional

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior US Tax Professional to join our organization.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in managing and supervising tax staff, providing guidance and training, and leading tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Tax Preparation and Compliance: Prepare and review complex US federal and state tax returns (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1041) to ensure accuracy and compliance with IRS and state tax regulations.
  • Team Management: Manage and supervise tax staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to support the growth and development of your team.
  • Tax Planning: Lead tax planning strategies for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and estates to optimize tax savings and minimize liabilities.
  • Research and Solutions: Research complex tax issues and provide solutions to clients to address their specific needs and concerns.
  • Client Communication: Communicate directly with clients, maintaining strong professional relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership on client service strategies and business growth initiatives to drive success and excellence in everything we do.

Requirements:

  • Certifications and Education: CPA or EA (mandatory), Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of US taxation experience, with strong technical expertise in 1040, 1065, 1120, and estate/trust returns.
  • Leadership and Management: Prior experience managing and mentoring teams to drive growth, productivity, and results.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with US tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, UltraTax, or equivalent).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and client management skills to deliver exceptional results and exceed client expectations.
