Data Engineering Leader

A seasoned Data Engineer to spearhead our data strategy and drive business outcomes.


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead our team in driving the development, implementation, and maintenance of data engineering solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering principles, experience with cloud-based technologies, and excellent leadership skills.


About You

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing data engineering solutions that meet business requirements
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop effective solutions

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical skills in data engineering, including experience with GCP Service: Composer, BigQuery, DataProc, GCP Cloud Architecture etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Big Data Hadoop: Hive, HQL, HDFS
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, SQL Query writing
  • Experience with scheduler tools like Control-M or any other scheduler
  • Good understanding of database engines (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and ETL Pipeline development

Bonus Points

If you have experience in workflow automation, agile methodology, Terraform coding, project management, or worked on hybrid cloud solutions preferably using GCP, having worked on product development, having prior experience in Banking/Finance domain, it's a plus
